Our Brand Story
Nyonya Next Door began with a simple belief: Peranakan comfort food should be an everyday joy, even on your busiest days.
We chose the name “Next Door” to evoke something familiar, welcoming, and always within reach, while “Nyonya” keeps us rooted in the heritage and flavours that define the cuisine.
Today, that belief comes to life through customisable sets that bring warmth, comfort, and heritage flavours that taste like home, right next door.
The Team
Nyonya Next Door is created by the team behind Cherki, Singapore’s modern Peranakan restaurant, known for reimagining heritage flavours through bold, contemporary techniques. With Nyonya Next Door, the founders bring that same passion for Peranakan cuisine into a more vibrant and accessible dining concept designed for everyday enjoyment. Building on their experience with Cherki, the team continues its mission of celebrating Peranakan flavours while presenting them in ways that keep the spirit of the cuisine alive and within reach.
Nyonya Next Door is part of Mixes from Mars Group, a Singapore-based lifestyle collective behind concepts such as Hopscotch, Cherki, Onori, and Storybox Collective, known for bringing people together through inventive cocktails, contemporary dining, and immersive, culture-led experiences.
